Say What?! Hawaii Edition

Conversation with Ry the first night in Hawaii.

Ry: "Weird. GA has stars and night and HI has clouds. That's a bummer."
Me: "No, it's just cloudy tonight."

Next night still cloudy.
Ry: "See Mom, told ya. HI has clouds not stars!"
Me: "No, it's just cloudy again."
Ry: "They have a lot of clouds here then."

Pear Harbor
Ry: "If I was here when the bad guys attacked I would've been ready."

later: "I'm going to be in the Army when I grow up because I'm going to beat bad guys...or the NFL."

Water slides at the resort.
There were two water slides. One where you rode a tube and one you went without. The one without was completely dark for about 10 seconds. A few days into our trip Austin and I were going down the dark slide and these two teenage boys were behind us. After they go down the first time they're walking back up behind us and saying how scary it was and how they didn't know it was going to be dark the entire time. When they get to the top they say to Austin. "Do you like this slide?" Austin replies with his hands on his hips, "Yeah, I brave."
