Characters and Beach House Fun!

Since we stayed at a Disney resort there were several characters "on vacation". The first full day we were there we went to a character breakfast. The only characters that weren't at the breakfast were Donald, Chip and Dale, and Stitch. The buffet was great, and they had a shorter kids bar which both boys loved.

Besides meeting the characters they had a few parades and sang songs during breakfast.

There was also a kid's only area for ages 3-10 at our resort. They have so much to do in the playhouse. The first full day we were there they were having a volcano experiment. We took the boys and they were both a bit skeptical of going in so we stayed for a little bit. Right before the volcano experiment started they had a surprise visit from Chip & Dale. Two characters the boys haven't met at the Disney parks. As I'm snapping a picture we were told we had to leave since it's a kid's only area. We watched outside for a bit before finally going to eat dinner near the beach. Unfortunately the professor leading the experiment was pretty loud and ended up scaring Austin so we were called about 45 minutes or so into his time there. Rylan stayed and finished the experiment and really liked it.

Austin did well the rest of the times we went to Aunty's Beach House. The only other organized activity we sent them to was making super slimy goo with Stitch. They both brought goo home and were quick to inform us it was really sticky.

Rylan made a buddy and went there one day instead of taking a nap. When I went to get him he told me he wasn't ready to leave, that he wanted to stay with his new friends and play games. We let him stay another hour before picking him up. Overall they enjoyed going to play there. They didn't go there every day but did a few times and we enjoyed some quiet time relaxing on the beach.

Ready to go into Aunty's Beach House! Ry said no pictures when I asked him to pose.

Checking out the memory game table. This became a favorite for both boys.

Computer games, Wii, PS3 and Xbox. Definitely the boy's cave of the area (or as they called it, the Uncle area).

Volcano experiment!

The crazy, white-haired professor.

Snapped this quick picture as we were told to leave. Wish I could have gotten a better one. Oh well!
