Oddly enough I don't think he ate any green, which is one of his favorite colors.

Matching Skittles
Anything Rylan eats that has a color, we ask him what the color or shape is. Of course, he will participate willingly when it involves candy. So the other day, I bought him some Skittles and after dinner I poured some on his plate. Instead of eating them like I figured he would, he starts organizing them according to color. There was one red one so he quickly pulls it off the plate, puts it to the side and continues to separate the colors. He kept looking down at the one lonely red one and then would go back to sorting. I guess this red one was annoying him because he stopped sorting quickly eats the red one and then gives me one of his serious, mini-Nate looks and says, "It didn't match." After he finishes separating all the colors, he counts them and then informs me he still needs two orange and one purple. Kudos on the try, but no, he did not get anymore Skittles. So he eats a few of each color and then walks away. I couldn't resist and mixed them all up without saying anything and then walked into the living room. He walks back into the kitchen to eat some more and yells, "Hey mommy, you touched my Skittles!" He puts them back in order and looks at me a little angry and tells me to, "Do NOT touch my Skittles, you understand me?" Sounds like something Nate or I have said to him. It was hilarious. I didn't mess with them again, but did take a picture of the remaining Skittles. We're not sure if he's being OCD or really just matching them. I'm going with the matching. Of course, if anything can match he wants it to match so who knows!

Oddly enough I don't think he ate any green, which is one of his favorite colors.
