Snow Day

All of the schools closed down today for the snow we got late last night. It started snowing at 6:00 last night so Rylan sprinted to the window to see if any was still on the ground. We got a dusting maybe 1/4 inch or so. The roads were icy and a few cars were in the ditch when I went out to take mom to dialysis. We went out early this morning to play in it. Austin was much more impressed by the ice and kept walking across it. Rylan made snow angels and wanted to make a snowman followed by a snowball fight. Unfortunately the small amount we did get didn't pack at all so all he could do was the snow angels and sled down the hill in our backyard. The sleds we do have wouldn't go down the hill well so he zipped down the hill on a lawn garbage bag which thrilled him. When we got in the boys were introduced to hot chocolate. We've given it to Rylan a few times but this was the first time he drank it. Austin was more interested in getting the marshmallows out. Here are a few pictures of our outing.
