Uncle Bob's Pumpkin Patch

We took the boys to Uncle Bob's Pumpkin Patch this weekend. For my fellow Winamacians it was very similar to Bonnie's. They had a nature trail, corn maze, a petting area with sheep, goats and a baby pig. There were also several ducks and geese that you could see but not pet. They had story time, a puppet show, a bat theater (about bats, of course), a bee area with a lot of bee hives, a hayride through the property and of course, pumpkins. We didn't make it through the entire place, but we did enjoy the corn maze, the animal petting area, story time, puppet time and the hayride. Rylan is ready to go back and ride the hayride again.

Austin was very fascinated by the farm animals. He stayed down like this every time he saw a new one.

The person working near the pigs told us that he would bite if you put your hands near his mouth. This freaked me out more than the boys.

Rylan thought it was neat that this baby pig was digging in the mud but had no desire to pet him.

Taking a photo break.

This is as far as we ventured out on the nature trail. It went through the woods, which we learned later on our hayride, was pretty long.

Austin patiently listened to story time, but didn't want to sit for the puppet show.

Our fearless leader in the corn maze.

The highlight of the day...the boys were pumped about riding on the hayride.

Near the end of the hayride, you could throw hay to the horses. I didn't manage to get a good picture of Ry feeding the horses, but I did get one of him with a horse.

The best of the pumpkin photos...

...and the funniest! Classic Rylan with a plastered smile and dazed look after sitting patiently for photos. Classic Austin not smiling and lounging like it's been such a rough day. Can you tell one acts like me and the other like Nate?!
