Say What?!

This is too funny not to share. Tonight while we were winding down before bed time, Rylan started asking what holidays were coming up. Of course, he knows his birthday is soon, so I told him that Halloween was after his birthday. He stops me there and wants to talk about Halloween. He had been saying he was going to be a pirate again. I told him he could be that again, or something new. He looks at me like he didn't realize that he didn't have to wear last year's outfit. So he immediately says he wants to be Spiderman. Now, he doesn't watch Spiderman but suddenly this is an interest. He picked out some Spiderman shades last week when we were out which surprised me. He proceeds to tell me that Austin will be a cowboy, I will be a cat and Nate will be a hawk. That's right, Nate will be a hawk! He flaps his arms and tells me a hawk is a big bird. Whether or not any of us are those things will be determined by our pint-sized boss, but something tells me that Nate as a hawk isn't in the future. By the end of the night, he decided we were going to be a family of witch-cowboys. We'd all wear witch hats and wear cowboy boots. Suddenly that cat costume is looking good!
