Mud Bath

We've had a lot of rain the past few weeks, and there is one spot at the end of drive way that quickly fills with water. After nap time today there was a huge puddle and Rylan slowly started playing in it. He used to play in dirt and mud and loved to get dirty, but recently he hates getting dirty and if his shoes even have mud on them he freaks out. So when he was playing in the puddle I told him to take off his sandals and get dirty. Once he warmed up to getting in the puddle he really loved it. While I don't like cleaning up the mess, I really don't want the sons that don't like to get dirty and always want to be clean. This is the only time in your life that you don't have anything to worry about. You have someone else do your laundry, cooking, the list goes on. Lord knows, Nate & I don't want the son that freaks out that his sports uniform is dirty!

Once Rylan started playing in the water, Austin went running to the water too (in his walker of course).

Ry took the plunge and went into our backyard where there was more water.

Still wondering if he's really allowed to get all wet.

Austin got the wheels stuck in the mud so I finally caved and let him in the mud too.

Still seeing if he could get wet and not in trouble.

Time for the mud bath.

After Rylan started lying in the water, Austin starting doing a handstand where he dips his head in the water. Obviously no pictures were taken due to the chance of something happening while I was taking the pictures. It may have been inches of water but we all know that is all it takes for something to happen. I don't need to make the news as the moron mom that let her kids drown in a mud puddle.

I also wanted to let everyone know that Nate has completed his third phase of training. This was another tough training but he has completed training on Final and now has Macon/Columbus, which is two smaller airports in Georgia that this facility also handles traffic for as well. Great job, Nate! I'm so proud of you!

  1. I bet the boys had a lot of fun! Congrats Nate! Looks like you'll be finished up with all your training in no time.
