Rylan's Surgery

Rylan hasn't been able to breath through is nose in a long time.  For as active as he is, that is obviously a problem.  Allergies were blamed.  He was given medicine to take daily and a nose spray.  Neither really helped.  In January when he got his yearly well check he had to hold his breath to get his temperature taken.  The doctor referred us to an ENT which we already had.  We got in that week and she scheduled us to get his adenoids taken out and they'd shrink the cartilage in his nose.  During our pre-op she talked us into the tonsils too.

He had his tonsils and adenoids removed, along with new tubes put in his ears last Thursday.  He did great and is not starting to act like himself again.  He still isn't breathing well, but that will get better in the next few weeks.  For now he is still stuffy but doing so much better!  Nate and I will be thrilled when he can breath like a normal person!

Ready to get this over with!

I was so annoyed they did his IV while he was awake since the doctor assured me he'd be asleep for it.  But he was brave and tough!

Sleeping when we got in to see him when all was said and done.

Got lots of balloons from Nana & Mike and Aunt Erin & Uncle Chad.  He also got some puzzles from Nana.

Resting with Rookie.
