Rylan's 8th Birthday

Ok, so I'm a bit late on posting.  Now that football is coming to an end, I feel like I have a moment to breath.  Rylan turned 8 in September.  My greatest birthday memories are of my slumber parties, so what do I talk Nate into doing?  Having a sleep over.  Rylan invited 10 boys and Austin had one friend.  We had a total of 8 actually sleep over.  We let the parents drop them off around 3 and most were picked up by noon the next day.  I bought all of the boys ninja masks and nunchucks (thank you Dollar Tree for having a lot of them, and thank you Halloween).  When I bought the 13 nunchucks and masks, the men behind me said they feared an immanent attack was coming.  I told them when their got their mask and nunchucks if they hit anyone or complained of being hit then they would all be taken away until they went home.  Surprisingly they all played well and never were taken away.

He had a great birthday and we are so proud of the wonderful boy he is becoming.

I wasn't good at taking pictures this year.  Parent fail.  I barely got a picture of his decorations.  Took these after most of them had been taken down.

Rylan was on TV at school.  Austin and I walked him in with his cupcakes so we got to see him on TV!

Apparently I didn't take pictures of the cupcakes I made for school, so here is a picture I pulled from Pinterest of them.

Had to go to Taekwondo on his actual birthday, so he could be a black belt for the day!

Ninja Party!
I didn't make this cake.  We won a free cake so I had her make one I found on Pinterest.

Ninjas on the loose!

It was pouring so we couldn't do the pinata outside.  So we let the kids punch and kick the "ninja star" in our garage.  Not ideal, but it worked.

This is what happens when one gets a nosebleed.  Pure amazement.

I tried to not go downstairs a lot so they could have some freedom.  I did get a video of some of the craziness.  The above pictures are from when they wound down before bed.

Scout our lizard. Rylan got him from 5 of his friends.  They bought the tank, supplies and of course the gecko.  He named him Scout and both boys just love him.
