Memphis Visits

I've gone to Memphis more this past month or so than I have in the past year. Due to my mom's health decline, we didn't go on our planned vacation to Washington D.C. the week after the kids got out of school, instead we went to Memphis. That week was also Mia's birthday so we enjoyed celebrating with her. It was so nice to see mom, she hadn't seen Nate or Rylan the entire time she's dealt with this ordeal. We enjoyed the Children's Museum, celebrating Mia's birthday at Incredible Pizza Company, and spending time with Erin's family.

The boys were thrilled to take Nate to the Children's Museum.  They showed him all of their favorite things there.

Airplane heaven.....

Kid's grocery store.  The cart says 3 items only.  There was only one other kid so we tell them they can get a few more than 3 items.  Rylan tells me no he can't, it says on the cart only 3 items.  So he'd ring up his 3, get his receipt, put them away and get 3 more.

Austin on the other hand already had a cart full when I went to tell him he could get more.

Watch out ladies...

Making paper airplanes.  Mine was by far the best...at not hitting the targets.  :)

Rylan has never played checkers, and got to learn on this big ole board.

Mia turned 2 on 5/23.  What a little ham.

This is one of my favorite pinata pictures.  Mia is hysterical because she wanted to keep hitting the pinata, but she looks like she's crying because big sis is hitting Dora.  Love it!

Good times at Incredible Pizza Co.

The boys and I went back the last week of June to visit since mom at the time seemed to be getting worse.  She had a surgery that week on her dialysis port.  It was nice to spend the week with mom.

Taking a trip to the park.  Muscle man Rylan pulled all the kids the entire way there and back.  Ready for football season!

Austin wanted to pull the girls too, so we let him pull them down the cul-de-sac.

Awesome swing at mom's rehab facility.  The kids swung so high (my boys of course) that Gigo fell forward.  No injuries but stressed me out!
