Another baseball season came to an end. We had a great season this year. It was so great to have both boys on the same team. Nate had a great first season coaching. The entire team improved tremendously. I love seeing each child improve from practice one to the last game. Nate did a great job coaching.
Rylan has gotten a lot stronger. He has been hitting off the coach most of the time since last season, but he's more powerful. He has been hitting line drives and pop ups into the outfield off of the pitch. He mostly played first base. He loved playing first and now has a new favorite on the Braves, first baseman Freddie Freeman.
Austin is night and day from his first baseball season last fall. He was put on this 5-6 year old team as a 3 year old since Nate was coach. He kept up very well with the bigger boys. By the end of the season, he was consistent with stopping grounders that were hit to him. He was hitting off the pitcher and was good at following the base coaches when on base. He loved playing in the catcher position. He became a pro at putting on the gear and taking it off. It was the one position he played where we never had to tell him to pay attention.
I didn't get a lot of pictures since I was in the dugout every game and usually keeping score book. I did get some good ones though.
Rylan
Austin
Proud of their trophies.
