Big Game

The boy's had a chance of a lifetime this past Wednesday night, they got to play a scrimmage game on Turner Field before the Braves game. Rylan has been able to walk the field in previous years. The 6 year old team that sells the most tickets gets to play in the scrimmage game. Technically we are a 5/6 team so we didn't qualify, however, we outsold all of them teams in the 5 and 6 year old division so our team was able to play with the 6 year old teams. Our team just split and half played with one team and the other half played on the other. Nate made sure to put our boys on the same side so I could get good pictures and video of them.

This was Austin's first year to be able to go on Turner Field. He was excited to get to go out there with Ry and Daddy. He payed attention when he played on the field for the most part but still was in awe of everything going on. Rylan was super excited to be out there. After all, he has big plans to play in baseball and football when he grows up. He was one of the only kids that was focused only on the game. The highlight to his night was catching a line drive. Thankfully I caught it on video and a picture of it. He is still on cloud nine and lights up when he talks about his big catch. We went bowling the other day with his friends and the first thing they said was that his catch was awesome.

Life long memories made that night!

Our team played outfield when we fielded, but fortunately got a lot of hits their way.

Rylan's big catch!

Thank you Nate for putting both boys close together!

While they were playing their game, Pitcher Tim Hudson and catcher Brian McCann warmed up nearby.

Batting and scoring on Turner Field.

Proud coach and Dad.

Enjoying the game.

Turner Field grass stain on Ry's pants. Both Ry and Daddy were proud of that stain.
