Rylan's 7th Birthday!
Rylan turned 7 on the 18th. I'm a bit late posting, but we have had a busy week. On Tuesday Nate and I were able to eat lunch with him. We brought pizza and cupcakes for his class. This was our first time to go to his class so we enjoyed meeting his new classmates and seeing our big first grader in action. After school he opened gifts, ate more cupcakes and then headed to football practice, where they sang to him at the end of practice.
Yesterday we had his birthday party at our house. His football team was invited, along with some friends from previous school years. We didn't let him invite any of his current classmates since you have to invite the entire class if you invite anyone and he wanted an army party. We wanted to make sure that the boys coming would actually do the things we had planned.
His party was great, the only bad part was Austin ended up having his first soccer game at 3:00. The party was 2-5, so Rylan and I had to miss the game. We got his schedule the Monday before the game late at night, and of course the invitations and RSVPs were already out and back. We did save the pinata and cake for Austin's return.
After the party ended Ry had a few friends stay the night. Everyone had fun and Nate and I enjoyed seeing our boys have a good time with their friends.
Happy 7th Birthday Rylan!
Camo cupcake sandwiches for Ry's class.

Army Birthday Party
Obstacle course
Tug of war was a big hit!
Playing army.
After 3 rounds hitting the pinata it finally broke.
Cake and gifts before everyone left.
After the party ended, Rylan had 4 boys spend the night. 3 of the 4 are his teammates from football so they played football for hours, wrestled and played army. When it was too dark to go outside anymore they played video games while running upstairs to check out the score of the UGA football game.
