Great Wolf Lodge

The boys had fall break this past weekend. They were off Monday and Tuesday. We originally planned to go to Disney with both of our moms as well, but with football and baseball still playing over break we settled for a quick trip to Charlotte to the Great Wolf Lodge. Mom went to Erin's for a few weeks and Sonya stayed home for work. We had a great time. The water park was a huge hit, and even though they weren't tall enough to ride all of the water slides there was still quite a bit they could do. We didn't get a lot of pictures in the water park since both Nate and I were in the water with the kids most of the time. But here are some of the memories we did capture.

First time down the water slides! I was so happy they both eagerly went down! Austin rides down all slides on his tummy. By the end of the trip we got him to sit on his butt and go down.




The family water slide. They let Austin on, he loved it and then we took Nate to go up again only to find out Austin was actually too short. Poor guy cried the entire walk back down. At least he got to ride on it once!


The wave pool was hands down their favorite.





When the waves would stop for the 5 minute break, we'd hear the bell ring for the bucket to dump water. Rylan would go as quickly as he could to the bucket, get drenched and come back to the wave pool. This pic is the first time they went under it. They are the furthest to the right.



MagiQuest is a virtual game that kids played there. It was like a scavenger hunt. To our surprise Rylan loved it. Austin was over it within an hour but Rylan could have played it the entire time. The night before we left he got to stay up late with Nate and play the game while I took Austin back to bed. The last day we were there they could either play that game again or go to the water park. Rylan wanted to play the game, so that's how we ended the trip.







We hit the arcade before heading out. Austin had been dying to go in there the entire time so he was more than happy.


Austin loves the virtual games where you ride on a ride of some sort. They both loved this one the best.


We took a hay ride around the property and then the boys got to each pick out a pumpkin. We didn't take them to paint them since that's something we can do at home.
