Seeing the Sights

We've had a crazy past two weeks. Health scare, bad news with our house in Louisville, preparing for our trip to FL with the Taylor side, and of course daily activities with our boys. So that is why I've been slacking on updating our blog.

I did want to post pictures from our sight seeing of Atlanta with the Rawls' family. We enjoyed a night out at a Braves game. This game wasn't rained out so we enjoyed a nice sunny evening at the ball field. Rylan, Nate & Chad hit the mini batting and pitching cages. Rylan threw the ball hard enough to actually hit the targets, which surprised and impressed us all. Erin and I did enjoy a few innings in the air condition while Austin and Mallory moved around. That game is when I realized that Austin is officially walking. He walked the hallway for 3 innings straight. Rylan did really well and has mastered the Braves' tammohawk chop.

We also enjoyed visits to the zoo, aquarium, and even made a spontaneous trip to Chuck E Cheese for Rylan's success with the potty. He was thrilled to have Erin, Chad and Mallory to celebrate with us. The end of the week was spent celebrating Austin's birthday and baptism.

Here are some pictures to highlight our great week with Erin, Chad & Mallory. Our next trip with the Rawls' will be in September to their turf of Memphis, TN.

BRAVES GAME

Nate's favorite player, Braves catcher Brian McCann.

Rylan the rock star after the game. Mal passed out almost immediately after being put in the carrier. Austin insisted on facing forward to check things out, and didn't pass out until we left the field and were on the street.

ZOO ATLANTA

Chad thinking to himself... "Hurry it up there Ry, I'm ready to hop on."

BUSTED!

Before we even left the parking lot!

GEORGIA AQUARIUM

Sting ray and shark petting time.

Scared of that!

This was a great shot showing the kind of day we had. Rylan threw up in my hands when we were looking at the first exhibit. So he cruised in the baby stroller we brought for Mallory. He only left it to pet the sting rays and sharks (amazing he was fine to do this). Meanwhile Austin was trying to gain independence by walking everywhere. Definitely not one of our better trips to the aquarium with the kids, but still fun.

At least Erin, Chad and Mal got a great family photo. I wanted to get a picture in this spot since we always go there alone, but like I mentioned above, it wasn't going to happen this trip!

Thank you Erin, Chad and Mallory for spending the week seeing the sights of Atlanta. We look forward to seeing you in September. And to all of our other loved ones. Do you see the fun that could be had visiting us!
